Drink Me! Tea Room

12/7/24: Short version - wonderful experience, stellar staff, fantastic cocktails, beautifully themed decorations. It can be pricey, and if you're not vegan or a fan of gluten-free items, you may be unwilling to give it a try ... but don't let that stop you. We had three people at our afternoon tea, and none of us are vegan; we still had a great two hours. Longer version - ** reservations are required ** I am writing this a month late, but whoa, the experience still resonates. My sister was visiting and we always do one "big" thing while she's here. This trip it was Drink Me! Their holiday theme was Alice in Wonderland, and boy did they go all out on decorations. Their cocktails were aptly named, presented well, and tasted so damn good. Every single one of them. Yes, some were better than others, but between the three of us, we tried every one of their special tea cocktails from the menu and no lie, all good! The menus are presented in old books (what a novel idea! pun intended), they compost 95% of their materials (food, napkins, paper cups, etc), the staff was on top of their game the entire visit, and every single one was uber-friendly (kudos to our main server, Nekiyah). As I said, none of us are vegan or have gluten issues. With regard to the food items, some were better than others. The mini sandwiches were very good and seasoned well, it was the dessert items that I would not go for again -- but that's because I am addicted to sugar. ;-) There was a wide variety and a couple of them were not horrible, but my experience / view regarding gluten-free dessert items has always been that they are dense and lack flavor. Despite that, the food tray had excellent presentation and the desserts were decorated in a way that you could tell the bakers took their time. All three of us walked out of Drink Me! saying "WOW, what a trip! Let's do that again." Our final bill, minus tip, was $209. It was worth every penny. There are different tiers for menu selections (we chose one of the upper tiers) so please don't let the cost deter you from trying Drink Me! It is a fun place, especially if you have a special occasion to celebrate.

I was celebrating my birthday with my best friend. She picked this beautiful place. It is the perfect place to bring your kids and enjoy a tea party. Make your reservation. It's also the perfect place for a first date. Enjoy the company and get to know each other moments.

My mom cannot have gluten and is highly sensitive to dairy, so imagine my delight when I found this tea room! We made a reservation for their full afternoon tea. We got there right as it opened and were immediately greeted, given the run down, and got our tea orders in. The decor is so cute and we loved the atmosphere. The food was delicious. If you’ve ever eaten GF or vegan food, you know what to expect. The food was fresh, flavorful, and we had a good variety of nibbles to try. We will absolutely be back. This was a treat and perfect for a mother/daughter lunch.

This was our second experience at the Drink Me! Tea Room and we had a wonderful time! This time we attended the "Galactic Afternoon Tea Party", which was well put-together with fantastic food, themed teas, and cocktail options. There is so much food, it might be wise to have a light morning meal if you're intending to do afternoon tea! Our friends (some tea aficionados, some not so much) all had a great time and were thrilled with the experience. Nekiyah helped guide us through the teas and the rest of the menu and was totally on top of it and able to answer all of our questions. As always, being fully vegan and gluten-free means that all of our friends can attend without qualification. Drink Me! Tea Room's commitment to sustainability including composting, recyclable containers, and choosing local is important to us and we're pleased to support businesses with these aims. A great low-key, two-hour experience to enjoy tea, tons of treats, and most importantly: the company of good friends!

Servers are excellent, atmosphere is cute. Love the idea of the place but having everything gluten free was awful. I did not care for many of the dishes - especially anything replicating bread. Very expensive for a bunch of sweets - don’t get me wrong I was full leaving but I prefer substance to my meals. The best part was the extra birthday truffles and those were complimentary.
