Golden Era

Seriously flavorful vegan Vietnamese food!! Their spicy noodle soup was spicy with really good soy and tofu add ins. The wraps were made with super soft parantha with very flavorful filling. The best thing we ate was definitely the lemongrass deluxe which is fried soy chicken pieces covered in an umami garlic sauce. The interiors and service were great too. Highly recommend!

WOW! The food hands down was some of the best vegan Pho I've ever had in life. I also ordered the lemongrass deluxe and added it to the Pho which was so sincere! To top it off I had a Hibiscus Arnold Palmer which hit the spot. The flavors were great and I will def be coming back. Ambiance wise, it's decent, but definitely comfortable.

A vegan staple in SF! It had been six years since I last visited Golden Era and although I was bummed it wasn’t packed as it would have been before, I was excited that the flavors were still top notch! I always suggest their lemongrass chicken (still personally my fav) but a fried suggest I try the birds nest after telling him how that was one of my fav dishes when an omnivore. It was great! Crunchy and gooey underneath with a mix of proteins. Saved room for a cheesecake and skipped the flan (didn’t like it last time). It was quiet and quick service. Very clean and low music (if any). Happy that more tables got filled as I ate. Happy Munchies, @aVeganAndHer

Great Food. Long and Thoughtful selection of dishes. Thai Fried Rice and Jalapeno Tofu were great. Water in Stainless Steel was a pleasant surprise. Thanks

I'm not a vegan so I'm glad I gave this place a chance! I got the spicy noodle soup and it was so good. Tofu is included in different textures which made the meal more satiating and interesting, as well as a sliced beef substitute I've never tried before. Really hearty and satisfying lunch! The staff and I think the chef/owner? were really nice. Something I also appreciated is the very spacious dining area, it didn't feel claustrophobic.
