Super cute little place. My companion and I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and it was relatively quiet so we ordered and received our food quickly. I got the nacho plate and my companion got the Italian sandwich. Absolutely delish! Possibly the best nachos I've had in almost 5 years of vegan living. We also ordered a half-dozen donuts to take home. There were tons of donuts left around 4pm and lots of variety!

this is a wonderful restaurant and the food is made with love ! the staff were so kind; they were out of the month's pie pie my darling cake that i was looking for and they gave us extra donuts instead! i looove my vegan donuts. i came here because i tried the upton's seitan in the buona beef sandwich, and i knew i had to go to liberation kitchen to get more food. i ordered the fried bacon mac n cheese and it was AMAZING. i didn't get any other savory items there but i know i'll be getting the bacon mac every time from now on... the texture was perfect, it was packed with flavor, and the bacon was delicious. not overly salty or greasy either! for dessert, i wanted to get a good idea of their donuts! i got lydia’s eclair, flapjack, for greta (strawberry one)?, lemon curd, chocolate sprinkle, double chocolate sprinkle, and bumpy cake. personally, i think the lemon curd (for those who love citrus), bumpy cake, and flapjack were my favorite... although flapjack takes the cake. they weren't huge donuts, but they were reasonably sized and all very tasty. i had a great experience here... everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly, and i'd love to try more menu items + donuts because i saw quite a few things i'd like to come back to! definitely recommend.

Love this place! Extremely friendly service and DELICIOUS food. Very inexpensive too. I can’t wait to come back and order way too many donuts again

Besides the Bacon Mac, everything else I tried here was eh… The seitan in the other sandwiches wasn’t seasoned enough and the flavors weren’t great. Otherwise, the staff were very nice and the food came out fast. It seems like most people do takeout here, but they have a couple of small tables in the back to dine in for small groups of 1-3. There’s also a sizable pop-up arcade at the back of the restaurant The prices are generally pretty reasonable (except for the $5 tiny cup of unseasoned steamed kale). Food I tried: - “Chicago Style” Italian Sandwich (3/5): Normally I love seitan, but I didn’t love the texture or flavor of the seitan here. The sheer quantity was overwhelming and it wasn’t seasoned well, so the flavors were very monotonous. I liked the soft bread, but that’s pretty much it. - “Chicago Style” Updog (3.3/5): The order comes with 2 Chicago-style seitan hotdogs. I preferred these over the Italian sandwich flavor-wise because you could taste more of the other ingredients in it besides just the overwhelming flavor of seitan. - Fried Bacon Mac (4.3/5): This was definitely the best out of everything I tried. It’s not too creamy or “cheesy” in texture, but the flavors are good and umami. These seitan bits had way better seasoning and flavor compared to those in the sandwiches. - Greens (3/5): Nothing crazy, just a small cup of lightly salted steamed kale. Pricing it at $5 is a little excessive though.

This was our first stop in Chicago!! Very friendly, staff, cute little place for lunch or snack! Would like to try some other options there we had the fried bacon mac & cheese and the burger 🍔 My non vegan bf didn’t really love it unfortunately would like to try something else I expected the backed Mac to be a little different but I’ll always support a local vegan restaurant. Their hearts are in the correct place. I’d go back.
