Love In Action Cafe

I stumbled across Love in Action Cafe out of random. What stood out to me most is black people exploring more vegan "culture" with the same amazing flavors as traditional dishes. The dish I tried here was absolutely outstanding. They're affordable and reasonable. There is space to dine in and a fair amount of parking. This location is ideal for those staying in the hotel next door or coming right off the highway and need a quality meal. However, the location isn't the best, considering where it is and how tucked away it is in the corner. It could easily be missed, but the quality of food and customer service outshines this small factor. I wish them nothing but success in the future. I'll definitely be back.

This entire restaurant is a VIBE!!!! I tried the Rasta pasta, meatloaf plate, and the grilled mushroom bowl 😮‍💨 when I say EVERYTHING was amazing ! Maybe it’s my connection to family businesses or just my love for some healthy, wholesome, and flavorful food, but this place blew me away. Chef OG and his family are such warm and kind individuals. Not to mention the food is fresh and the ingredients are REAL. You walk in and see bitters and sea moss products, which we all know are rarely readily accessible. 🤯 I’m telling y’all I’m all about our community taking care of the community and this restaurant was more than a breath of fresh air. I will be back 🍃👑👏🏽

Incredible!!! Great vegan soul food. The chicken sandwich is exactly what you want it to be and more. The Mac is great. The Rasta pasta is super flavorful. Everything is delicious and so well seasoned and clearly made with love! We live 2 hours away and we’ll definitely be making the trip for just this food.

I LOVE this spot. Lemme tell you, the Mac n cheese is everything and the chicken and waffles will not disappoint 🙌🏼 I haven’t had chicken in 10 years and the mushroom remake here has a flavor, texture, and smell that is indistinguishable from the real thing. Enjoy this pic of me halfway into it 😤😤

My first time visiting Love In Action Cafe, and I wasn’t too impressed with the food. I ordered the meatloaf bowl with macaroni and cheese and collard greens. For $18, the meal was disappointing. My bowl was watery from the collard greens' juice, and the macaroni and cheese was bland and lacked flavor. The collard greens were also bland and seemed canned. The meatloaf was made with Beyond Meat and had a tangy flavor, which wasn't my favorite. The cashier mentioned that this was the most popular dish, but if that’s the case, I don’t think I’ll be returning. It’s unfortunate that the cost of the food doesn’t match the quality. My mom (who isn’t vegan) ordered the cauliflower wings with hot sauce, and instead of properly tossing the wings in sauce, they just poured a bunch of hot sauce over them. I had to request a separate container to keep the wings from getting soggy. My mom was disappointed and didn’t want to finish her wings. I’m disappointed with the quality of food at this restaurant. The best part was the enthusiasm of the owner, but beyond that, I would strongly suggest they improve the quality of their food.
