Eliza's Vegan Café

This was on of the BEST vegan burgers I’ve ever had! The burger and fries were cooked to perfection! The food was so good, I stopped while heading South on 95 and then again 3 days later when I was heading back North on 95. Even if you’re not a vegan (I’m not a vegan), you will not regret eating here!! The owner and her family prepare every meal with the love and care I’m sure her grandmother instilled in her. Do yourself a favor and grab a bite. The menu has a lot of options so you can’t go wrong!

I normally get the vegan burger or the”beef” vegetable stir fry when I order for my husband and I. Yesterday I tried the vegan rib sandwich and OMG it was DELICIOUS!!! It tastes just like the real thing! I love this restaurant! The employees are amazing and friendly, and always passionate about the food! This is absolutely the best vegan food I’ve had! The ones that I have tried in Columbia have NOTHING on this one. Y’all better run there and get that vegan rib sandwich!

I am NOT vegan. But this place looked the tastiest and a little different from the typical deep fried burger joint that you get around the I95 exits so I decided to try it out. The "rib" sandwich was delicious. As someone who eats meat I can't say it tasted like ribs, but it was super tasty nonetheless and a decent size sandwich. I also like their fresh juices.

It's pretty hard for us to find vegan food while we travel. We were coming home from Hilton Head and noticed the billboard on i-95 for Eliza's. We pulled over and took a chance. The food was absolutely amazing! The restaurant is a cute, little, what looks to be, converted gas station store. With an extensive menu, it was very difficult for us to choose! We ended up getting four things for the two of us just because we wanted to try as much as we could. My wife had a "cheeseburger“ with fries and said it was outstanding after only the first bite. She also tried the “tuna“ sandwich which was also very good. I had a "sausage" dog and chickpea and hummus wrap. They were both excellent! The service was wonderful and the cafe was spotless and inviting. It's obvious they take great pride in their business and the food they serve. Whether you are vegan or not, I doubt you will find as good a meal while traveling up and down i-95 as you will at Eliza's Vegan Cafe. Do not hesitate to stop here! Exit 164 in South Carolina!

FINALLY! I've wanted to stop here since I saw the billboard and after 5mos (and knowing I didn't have time), I stepped through the door 🚪. Wow 😲 am I glad I did! The place is next to a gas station, it's dated inside, the bathroom is next door, the girls are a bit harried... But DANG!! The food is On POINT 👉! To say I was pleasantly surprised would be a gross understatement as the food just floored me. The taste, texture, presentation, flavor was ALL absolutely amazing! Amazing, I said! I asked "so, what do people love here?" And she said, with no hesitation "the cheese steak, the rib sandwich and the cheese burger" (she called it something else maybe). I said "I'll take one of each." (Yes, I DID share!) My wife was willing to try a bite, but this is all she left me of the cheeseburger (see pic)! She LOVED it! Now she wants to drive 90min--each way-- to get some for her birthday! High applause for a carnivore at a vegan restaurant! Ok, tbh, I was doubting that this is really vegan--it tastes so good, it has to have some meat in it! But this place is worth the detour, delay or whatever it takes to get there! GET THERE! Ms. Eliza, you got a great thing going! Bless you!
