Baba's Vegan Cafe is a delightful spot that radiates positive vibes through its food and atmosphere. It’s a dream destination for vegetarians! I highly recommend trying everything on the menu. Just a heads-up: the business hours can be a bit tricky, so be sure to check before you go. It's a local favorite and a great meeting place!

5 star food for real! My family and I are on the Daniel fast. We were hungry and needed to eat. We went online and decided to try this place. The guys that served us were kind. They gave us additional food items to try since our was our first time there. We ordered one large plate for everyone to eat from. I didn't want to waste money if we didn't like it. My husband loved every bite. My daughter raved over the fried cauliflower and mushrooms. I loved the greens. I definitely recommend this place.

I am a meat eater and loved the flavor of every single item ordered. I got the dinner plate and had 7 items that represented authentic soul food that reminded me of home (Chicago). Will def be back! They have open mic on Saturday’s at 2PM.

Baba's Vegan Cafe is a historical gem within the Lemert Part District of Los Angeles. A decade or so ago, what started out as a family-owned food cart has emerged into a flourishing full-blown brick and mortar operation. Wose Shabaka, an activist and chef, has been recognized in Vogue and on ABC7 Los Angeles for his dedication to the community and his vegan culinary creations. The exterior is engulfed in vibrant colors, affirming the disenfranchised. Inside, there is an elaborate gift shop with ample seating. Some of the displayed pieces are made by Mama Shabaka and are available for purchase. Kiara is the person in charge of the front of the house. She's accessible, charismatic, and professional. The African diaspora is reflected in the overall interior, which exudes black excellence. The chef's dill and hot sauces are bold in flavor, and the vegan sampler consists of the most-ordered menu items. It's inevitable that Baba's Vegan Cafe will become a global destination for gastromonists craving healthy alternatives in the city center.

Very tasty gluten-free vegan mac&cheese and the way how they make kale. I also loved the walnut meat in the burrito. Nice staff and space. I wish to try their puddings but the time I came were not available 😔
