Othello’s Plant Based Kitchen has become my go-to spot for plant-based dining. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting this culinary gem four times now, and each experience has been nothing short of exceptional. From the hearty chili and rice to the mouthwatering pulled pork sandwich and the delectable spaghetti with meat sauce, every dish on their menu is a symphony of flavors and textures. I’ve yet to find a single item that fails to impress. The menu offers a delightful variety of options, ensuring that there’s something for everyone’s taste buds. And the prices are surprisingly reasonable, making it an even more appealing choice. I highly recommend giving Othello’s Plant Based Kitchen a try. You won’t be disappointed!

this restaurant has been open about 5 months but i just found it. towards the back of parking lot that has western bagel …ample parking … cute atmosphere w sage green walls & colorful paintings of healthy foods….Kids and I stopped and had “chili” cheese fries and a fried “chicken” sandwich. Nice portion size , def left full without the too full or greasy feeling, and the vegan chili is absolutely delish. My 11 year old said it’s “double bussin” and is raving about the spread on the sandwich & my 10 yr old said “8 million stars”. Talked w the owner who gifted kids a small sweet potato pie ☺️ which we took home & ate later, imo perfect slight amount of sweet…!!

I couldn’t wait any longer to try this place out. Today I went which was day two of their official opening. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Vegan Chili Cheeseburger, and an order of French Fries. Everything came out hot and made fresh to order. No food sitting under heat lamps. I also got to sample the Sloppy Joe filling and it is delicious!. I already know that I will be a regular customer, and going back next week to try something new from their menu. The owner is very nice and hospitable and the restaurant is very nicely designed and decorated and the colors give a very warm and welcoming vibe. Don’t sleep on this place! The food is 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all the way! 🔥

The OTHELLO'S PLANT BASED KITCHEN, is a unique, delicious, order-at-the-counter restaurant. Chef Norman recreates the textures and tastes of America street foods. (There are several other dishes on the menu, lasagna and salads for example, but we came for the street food.) Junior, takes your order. He knows the menu and can make suggestions. If your diet requires Gluten-Free, just ask. Then grab a table and enjoy the crystal clear music. Your wait will be short. I ordered the Beyond Burger served on a pretzel bun. The thick sandwich is topped with sliced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, chopped sweet onion, cucumber slices, and vegan salad dressing. The generous sandwich was delicious. My companion ordered the Sloppy Joe, served on a pretzel bun with a side of coleslaw. The SloppyJoe contains vegan "ground beef" in a slightly spicy tomato sauce, that was most satisfying. The accompanying coleslaw compliments with its cool crisp flavor. When your carry-out or eat-in order is ready, Junior double checks and supplies the utensils. STUFF: Free parking with many spaces. Lots of ADA compatible spaces. The wheelchair compatible bathroom is down the hall on the left. Buying food from street vendors has been popular for a long time. The earliest evidence of street food dates back to the beginning of civilization, around 10,000 years ago.

Today was my second visit. My first visit was a few weeks ago. I was craving vegan lasagna and did a quick search in my area. The lasagna was absolutely delicious. It was so tasty and the perfect portion size. My goal for visiting today was to try one of their chili dishes. It seemed that the lovely young lady at the counter could read my mind. She told me that they had samples of the chili and the meat sauce. Baybee!! That meat sauce is theee best thing I've eaten in a long while. I almost abandoned my mission. But I stayed the course and ordered the chili cheese burger with fries and garlic and chives side sauce. It was huge, well seasoned and very delicious. These days it's hard to find an affordable vegan burger that you need to hold with two hands. I'm not ashamed to say that I ate to my heart's content and left no crumbs. Their hospitality is worth mentioning as well. Everyone I have interacted there has been so lovely. During my meal, this nice gentleman inquired whether I was enjoying my meal and asked if I needed anything. Think he might be the owner. I was very grateful for the free lemon water since it was over 100 degrees today. The cutlery seems biodegradable. That's super cool. The decor is as warm and inviting as the people who work there. I'm looking forward to my next visit and trying the enchiladas.
