It’s always a win when your kids look at a menu and ask, “What’s vegan?” only for you to reply, “Everything!” This place makes it easy—no need to play the guessing game or interrogate the server about ingredients. Bonus points for having pancakes with fruit, a guaranteed hit with my kids. Safe to say, this spot was an easy win for the whole family. The service was solid, and while the parking was plentiful, it’s not the easiest to find. The restaurant being near the freeway doesn’t exactly help matters. Pro tip: skip the front entrance and head to the backside—you’ll find the parking lot there. Follow the instructions, and you’re golden.

The food was delicious. I got the nachos and the vegan drumsticks and they taste so good. I love the clean atmosphere and have been coming to this place for 3 years now. I’ve had many vegan wings before but this is far by the best! Also the staff is always so friendly and attentive.

We had a feast @The Vegan Joint in Woodland Hills! They definitely have a lot of options to choose from. I absolutely loved the Drumsticks. It's like chicken nuggets on a stick. Both the pad see ew and pad thai were perfect. You definitely have to try the impossible Krao pao. That is delicious. I want to order more of this next time. They have three locations. One on motor in Los Angeles and downtown LA and the one we visited today in Woodland Hills. Drinks 2x Smoothie $6.95 2x Butterfly Pea Hot Drumsticks $11.95 Pumpkin Curry $14.95 Tropical Pancake 🥞 $12.95 Grilled Dumplings 🥟 $7.95 Pad Thai $11.95 Pad See EW $11.95 Taco Plate $10.95 Spicy fried rice 🍚 😁 $12.95 Impossible kra pao 🔥$12.95 Spicy eggplant 🍆 $12.95 Breakfast burrito 🌯 $12.95 Dessert Black Sweet Rice $6.00 Coconut Cake 🍰 $6.00 #vegan #veganfood #veganrestaurant #tasting #foodblogger #tintinbeligan #vegansofig #woodlandhills

THE VEGAN JOINT (Woodland Hills) is intimate and delicious. Their recently redecorated, partially underground location is part of a small chain established by Rattans P, in Culver City (2006). Five years later Rattans opened in Woodland Hills. Downtown LA came in 2015. The mostly organic, recently updated, vegan menu is a mix of Asian and American comfort foods. I enjoyed my childhood favorite: fried chicken and pancakes. Yes, breaded and fried vegan chicken patties, with a stack of vegan pancakes, all to be smother within soy "butter" and maple syrup. (Sometimes life is fair.) The (soy) beef and sliced fried potatoes tastes remarkably like mama's Saturday dinner, only her's was made from chuck steak. The vegan Spring Rolls are as good as I remembered from Won Kow, a Chicago Chinese restaurant, my family visited most Sundays, during my childhood. The selection of soups, sandwiches, and wraps, all provide a satisfying, and delicious experience. Drop by on long or bad day. Look at the menu and order anything... anything. You wilI feel better. The alcove, with its ground level view of De Soto Avenue, provides a comfortable separation from life's cacophony. Servers are knowledgeable and usually friendly. Although, at lunch time, this is a very busy place. Reservations are not accepted. Take-out is available and maybe the better choice. Parking underground is free, easy, and ADA compatible. Enter from Ventura Blvd, turn left (West), and drive under the building and make the first turn left (South) into the under building parking. The well marked restaurant door is on the West wall. Both the patio and indoor seating are wheelchair accessible, as is, the gender neutral bathroom. And yes, they have vegan cakes, cookies, soft drinks, coffee and tea.
