Dining here was a pleasant experience. I was told that everything on the menu is vegan. It was so good, we went back two days in a row. Overall, food was good, however, I will say that some of the skewer items, primarily the BBQ Yuba ones, were overly seasoned to the point my tongue was burning, and not in a good way. Other than that, everything was good, and it is a cute place. I particularly enjoyed the Miracle Cure non-alcoholic drink.

Great restaurant that offers many vegan options but also serves meat for those carnivores. I got the vegan egg roll burger and it was delicious. Their cocktails are also fabulous. They've done a great job decorating and putting the place together. Not super affordable if you need a lot of food to feel full.

My first visit to KINDRED Bar and restaurant exceeded expectations. For brunch I enjoyed a delicious sandwich called, The Golden Ark. This sausage, egg and neon cheese on a freshly baked bread is the best breakfast sandwich that I have ever had. It was flavorful with just the right amount of spice (probably the aioli sauce). I would have never thought of adding pickles to a breakfast sandwich but it really helped. Vegans and non-vegans alike would be impressed. The cannoli is a crispy, tasty shell with a delicate cream filling that was not overpowered by sugar. The best I’ve ever tasted. I highly recommend this place as a bar or a restaurant. No wonder they were San Diego Magazine’s restaurant of the year.

Many people recommended this place so I was excited to try it, however it didn’t meet my expectations. I thought there would be healthier options. Ordered the cosmo knots, hot potatoes, and mind melt with big soup. The items were artisan and made to order. The cosmo knots were flaky and the garlic parm was rich. The lemon aioli with the potatoes was light and flavorful. The mind melt was mediocre, just tasted like cheese and the tomato soup was extremely salty. I recommend going early as the service is very slow.

We were a larger group of 9, there for a birthday. This place was pretty busy when we arrived, reservations at 7pm. The food was all so good. Everyone enjoyed their meals, I got the Warlock bowl of grains, with quinoa and farro, greens and peanuts. My husband got the grilled cheese and a bowl of tomato soup which was good. The fried mushroom app was delicious. I got the miracle cure (nonalcoholic) and added vodka. It was very good. Love the vibe. The service was a bit slow. Highly recommend this place!
