One of my favorite vegan restaurants in Houston! It’s all Chinese cooking, but they make the best kind of food. The couple running the store was very nice and inviting. All of the food was fresh and had an interesting flavors to all of them. The best part was the sauce that was with the kale, which tasted almost like mayonnaise. It was also very affordable for an ayce and was comfortable for a weekday lunch.

I arrived in Houston pretty late in the evening and was in a rush to find somewhere to eat that was local to where I was staying. Trendy Vegan showed up as a top search result and was highly rated and this spot did not disappoint. I didn’t know the portions would be so big when ordering and slightly over ordered but had left overs to go. The food and service was incredible and price point was amazing. The salt and pepper tofu was cooked to perfection. The food was everything I could have dreamed of and more after a long day of travel. So much flavor and none of the spice was over whelming. I recommend getting a hot tea also.

Great selection of delicious vegan food prepared Asian style. I really enjoyed the salt and pepper tofu, garlic eggplant and their coconut dessert soup. While I’m not vegan, I enjoy eating a vegetable heavy diet for medical reasons and this place is fantastic. Service was excellent as well!

Tried the lunch buffet ($16.50 so $20+ post tax/tip) with a friend The buffet featured a good selection of 20+ tasty options from your classic springs rolls and sushi to noodles and fried rice to tofu / seitan entrees to dessert pastries. My favorite items were the fried salt and pepper tofu and the sushi. Given it’s a buffet without a ton of turnover, I found some of the food had sat out too long but overall good quality ingredients. I think the buffet is not cheap but good value given you get to try a bunch of items. The interior is compact but comfy. It’s styled like other traditional American-Chinese restaurants from the mid-2010’s decor and could use a refresh. Service is friendly and prompt.

I love finding small places with delicious food and a nice home feeling atmosphere. Trendy Vegan is one of those places. They have a lunch buffet that I enjoyed thoroughly, while also offering a full menu. I had veggie spring rolls with garlic eggplant with fried brown rice and fresh green beans. My second round I didn’t pay attention to names, but everything I placed in my mouth was amazing. The staff are knowledgeable and super friendly. If you’re looking for clean fresh wonderfully tasting food, trendy vegan is the place to be .
