Box Bar

We love this local spot. Tofu sliders, kale salad, most cocktails - all great! We’ve been trying to replicate the salad at home and have not succeeded, so always have to come back for the real thing. Happy hour is daily from 4-5:30 if you want to eat early!

Box Bar is a pure and special spot filled with great people, amazing food, and a wonderful vibe. We have been many times over the years and the food and service are consistent. The food is something I crave regularly. Stop reading and go get the lentil nachos. Right. Now. They are the best nachos I’ve ever had and even better you don’t feel gross after eating them. Seriously go now. For dinner the TBLTA and Chickpea Cheddar sandwiches are wonderful. The Mac and cheese and kale Caesar are also solid contenders. For breakfast, the chocolate waffle and the lox bagel are my favorites. Also make sure to get a tasty cocktail and the chocolate mousse for dessert!

Dined here to cater to the vegan needs of some guests. Absolutely amazing food and tasty cocktails. The lentil nachos will blow you away. Easily the best nachos we've ever had, vegan or non-vegan, and a serving large enough for two to share. You won't be disappointed!

When I found out that there is a local vegan spot near me I was so excited. I also appreciate their support for the LGBTQIA+ community and regularly hosting drag shows. The first time I visited, the food was delicious, love the lentil nachos and the ramen. I did want dessert but they were all out and from reading the reviews, it seems like that is potentially a common theme. The second time I met my fellow vegan friend only to discover it was closed during business hours. No mention of this on their ig and there were a few people in addition to us also confused. Unfortunately, I wasn't surprised because I had seen stories on their ig previously explaining they're closed on x day. However, there is really no excuse to not find time to a) post this on socials b) put a sign on the door. I wish I could say this restaurant is one of my favorites and I'll be a regular but it's not reliable. I didn't take my friends from out of town here recently because I couldn't count on it being open. I obviously don't know what's going on at the restaurant but I hope that they're able to get it together because the food is next level and the ambiance is super cute. Location is great too! I'm rooting for y'all.

Great food and drink options and friendly staff. I recommend the boxed wine, signature cocktails and vegan nachos. They have a wide variety of vegan food options. The dishes are refreshing, colorful and healthy. The cashew cheese is delicious!
