Mirisata

Marissa is a vegan restaurant that I was super excited to try. Sri Lankan cuisine is not something I was very familiar with ,but definitely wanted to experience.We tried a bunch of items , but maybe our food palette is not synced to the spices. We did not like it as much as we had hoped too. However, the vegan spread is fantastic and maybe next time we can try some other dishes to make a determination. Being a vegan, I cannot endorse this place more. All in all will recommend the place.

My partner and I tried Mirisata tonight on a whim and wow it did NOT disappoint. We called ahead and were told there was a short wait but by the time we got there we were able to order right away. We got the holiday special menu, including beef rolls, fried rice, chop suey, pork, noodles, curry, and several other items I can’t remember the name of but were undeniably delectable. Side note: remember this is a vegan restaurant so when I say pork or beef it is ALL vegan. Anyway, we ordered the vegetable roti on the side, which was equally amazing as an appetizer, and to wash everything down we split the Sri Lankan Cider, with Apple Brandy, which was festive and welcomed on this cold and rainy winter Portland evening. Overall I cannot recommend this place enough. The food, atmosphere, service, it’s all just so good and so worth the $, as it is not cheap, but you get what you pay for and more, since we basically have lunch for the next day with our leftovers! We will definitely be back and in the meantime will be telling everyone we know to come here. Thank you so much, Mirisata!

Adored the food, especially the impossible ”beef” rolls, stuffed roti, wings, and blackened ”pork” . I think they must have gotten slammed when we were there, took over 30 minutes to get our drinks after ordering and 3 times of going to the counter to get a refund on a drink they were out of (ordered a lager and 2 soft drinks, waited 30 minutes to be told there is no lager with no remedy offered). The water dispenser was out the whole time we were there. The spicy food is indeed spicy, and super flavorful. I was glad about the mild options being marked. I will definitely give it another try.

Mirisata is a vegan restaurant, outstanding food, service and a vibrant atmosphere. Loved every morsel here! Pricing is slightly high but worth every bite 😋 finger licking good. You have to eat with your hand 👌🏽 best way to savour it.

We order the stuffed Roti and best choice ever!!! The cashew cheese one is great and all the sides god one better than the other. Please give it a try. The food did not make it to the picture of how good it was
