Royal Tavern

I am so happy to see Royal Tavern is back and better as ever. The double burger has to be the very best in the city-and the drinks and service are always spot on. Love a place that has great staff and menus and is dark, toasty, and playing 90s grunge.

This little hole in the wall off of East Passyunk has all the makings of an English Pub. Big shot out to Jessie the server, she clued me into the best bologna sandwich I have eaten in my life to date. You can’t go wrong with this tavern if you want a nice drink and a good bite. For the vegetarian this is amazing place, the menu will make it feel it was designed primarily for you if that is your preference.

love Royal Tavern!!! great service, amazing food, fun atmosphere. been here twice now and plan to keep coming back. I wish their hot dogs were beef, but the veggie hot dog was a great substitute.

I loved the relaxed, cozy atmosphere. Our service was friendly and excellent, and I loved having a hot cider drink on a snowy night. The menu elevates pub standard meals both with imaginative touches and well-sourced ingredients. The in-house made sausage was incredible! It just feels like a special place.

I would simply incinerate if this restaurant ever removed their vegan gyro from their menu. It’s been an uphill battle to find a vegan gyro that isn’t falafel based in Philly but alas. I love you Royal and our server, Jasmine said she loved my outfit and was highly attentive!!! Thank you for food, service, and ambience
